Welcome To Palmetto Elementary School

Dear Palmetto Elementary Families,

Welcome to another exciting school year at Palmetto Elementary! I am honored to continue serving as your principal and look forward to partnering with our incredible students, families, staff, and community as we embark on a year filled with learning, growth, and opportunity.

At Palmetto Elementary, we believe every child has the potential to achieve great things. Our mission is to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where students are challenged to think critically, dream boldly, and develop a lifelong love of learning. We are committed to providing meaningful learning experiences that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and prepare every child for future success.

This year, we are placing a special emphasis on excellent attendance, because every school day matters. When students are present, engaged, and learning consistently, they build stronger academic skills, meaningful relationships, and positive habits that last a lifetime. We encourage families to make daily attendance a priority, and we look forward to celebrating students who demonstrate outstanding attendance through exciting school-wide recognition and incentives.

We are also committed to fostering a strong culture of reading. Reading opens doors to imagination, knowledge, and opportunity, and we want every Panther to discover the joy that comes from becoming a confident reader. Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to participate in reading challenges, literacy celebrations, and incentive programs designed to encourage a genuine love for books and learning.

At Palmetto, success is built through partnership. Together, our teachers, staff, families, and community create the support system our students need to thrive both academically and socially. We encourage every family to stay actively involved by joining our Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and School Advisory Council (SAC), volunteering when possible, and staying connected through ParentSquare, Skyward, our school website, and social media.

Communication is the foundation of a successful partnership. Please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or contact me whenever you have questions, ideas, or concerns. My door is always open, and I value the opportunity to work together to ensure every student reaches their fullest potential.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. Together, we will continue to inspire excellence, celebrate growth, and create a school community where every student is known, supported, and encouraged to succeed.

As we begin this new year, let us continue to Dream, Believe, and Achieve while demonstrating outstanding Panther Pride each and every day.

I look forward to an amazing 2026-2027 school year with all of you!

Warmly,

Ms. Patricia Cells
